Najnovšie lekárske štúdie preukázali, že práve špecifické elektromagnetické polia využívané pri nukleárnej terapii môžu okrem iného  :

– zvyšovať osteogénnu i chondrogénnu diferenciáciu mezenchymálnych kmeňových buniek (tvorbu kostných a chrupavkových buniek)

– enormne zvyšovať expresiu kolagénu typu II (Col2) a obsah glykozaminoglykánu 

–  pôsobiť ako chemotaktický signál pre kmeňové bunky a chondrocyty, čím podporujú migráciu buniek na miesto poškodenia, aby sa podporila oprava poškodeného tkaniva

– majú silný protizápalový účinok, ktorý chráni tkanivo chrupavky pred katabolickou aktivitou prozápalových cytokínov

–  stimulujú signálnu dráhu Wnt, ktorá sa bežne aktivuje počas hojenia kostí a o ktorej je tiež známe, že sa podieľa na diferenciácii kostných buniek a procesoch opravy kostí.
